ANNOUNCEMENT

The Nishinomiya-Yukawa Memorial Symposium is held annually and its aim is to survey the recent progress in theoretical physics in some particular area. This year, the symposium is dedicated to noncommutative geometry and quantum spacetime, which are discussed in various fields of physics. The subject also stimulated an intensive discussion between mathematicians and physicists. The lecturers in the symposium will present an overview on the recent developments in noncommutative geometry and quantum spacetime from the viewpoint of their research and discuss the future problems.

The invited lecturers are
  • G. Amelino-Camelia (Roma, Italy)
  • A.P. Balachandran (Syracuse, USA)
  • R. Brandenberger (McGill, Canada)
  • C. S. Chu, (Durham, United Kingdom)
  • L. Freidel, (Perimeter Institute, Canada)
  • H. Grosse (Wien, Austria)
  • A. Kapustin, (Caltech, USA)
  • H. Kawai, (Kyoto, Japan)
  • G. Landi, (Trieste, Italy)
  • A. Lerda, (Piemonte Orientale, Italy)
  • V. Mathai, (Adelaide, Australia)
